Find Your Inspiration

Whether you're a creative writer, athlete, brainac (or absolutely anyone else), sooner or later you may reach a point when the inspiration for your passion, for what you love to do, just isn't there. As a creative writer myself, I find this to be probably one of the most difficult challenges in writing-keeping up inspiration for my ongoing written projects, novels, and whatever else falls into creative writing activities for me.
Although sometimes pushing yourself even when you feel totally uninspired is necessary, its usually best to keep going with the help of a little inspo as well-and if that inspiration fails to come after you give it a bit of time, then you need to go out and seek a little inspiration for yourself. Tune into a favorite music playlist. Read a book series. Take a nature walk. Sketch something original. Spend some time with someone who will make you smile. Do something fun or spur-of-the-moment. Jam out to an upbeat song. Think of new ideas for whatever you have tired out working on.
When you're dealing with burn out, especially when its related to something you usually enjoy, you have to find motivation and fresh enthusiasm so you can continue working at it, as I said above. One of the fastest and most effective ways I'm able to do this with my writing is by listening to music-as a fellow friend of mine agrees with (a creative writer herself as well), listening to the right beat while writing a part of a book is the perfect way to assist in getting it all written out just right. So, the source of inspiration and boost of mood really depends on what you're experiencing burn-out on from time to time and also what can truly inspire you. It can be music, stories, visual reminders (such as quotes and original art), a physical activity, or any number of other possible things that lift your spirit and give you extra energy to finish up studying for that exam, writing that story, working at that sport. Just make sure you find something that makes you feel uplifted and energetic afterward, something that may be common or unique, but that helps you in working at your passions and pursuing your goals no matter what.

I hope this post will be able to help you get inspired again for whatever you need to do and may ever be a bit burned out on. I think we can all agree a lack of motivation and inspiration for what we want to do, complete, and get done is one of the worst things that happens to even the best of us. Thankfully, gaining strength and incentive is simple, as long as you are aware of finding ways to restore your personal vision to fuel your passions.
Don't forget to comment below with ways you're able to lift your spirit and rejuvenate your energy when you're out of inspo and motivation. ;)

xx,
Veronica

  1. I totally agree! Music helps me a TON! Usually I have a hard time writing sad or action scenes so music always helps me get in the right mood. Also, when you're writing, it helps to come up with later scenes in the story that you can't wait to write. That way it kind of gives you a boost to write the more boring - yet necessary - parts.

    1. I can have an extremely hard time writing action scenes as well, some really upbeat music usually helps me with that too! And you're right, sometimes I do that too. ;) Thanks for commenting!

  2. I agree with this post. Inspiration can easily be found but can also easily be lost after a time period. It's important to go seek an inspiration if you lose it in order to get back doing what you love to do.
